In the roll call of live James appearances, the Greenpeace Palace Concert has achieved an almost mythic status among fans. The track ‘Ring The Bells’ from the show was issued on the 1994 ‘Alternative NRG’ compilation and the live version of ‘America’ was included as a B-side on their ‘Sometimes’ single (albeit slightly remixed) but otherwise this powerful 12-track acoustic performance had always remained unreleased… until now. The sleeve features a portrait of the band by Kevin Westenberg and (on the reverse) details from the requisite James tour booklet and a review of the gig from the ‘James’ fanzine, written by Christopher Zych.
