The name of London's Abbey Road Studios is now closely associated with pop and rock, and fundamentally to The Beatles, who from 1962 to 1970 taped most of their singles and albums there. In 1952, ten years before The Beatles began recording there, the great Portuguese fado singer Amalia Rodrigues cut several sessionsat the studio,all of which arepresented on this LP.
