Learning that she \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewas a musician too, Dicksson asked Mortensen to contribute \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003evocals to Missväxt and it wasn’t long before she handed over a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003emaster of her own music which completely floored everyone in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethe scene who heard it. The recordings eventually materialized \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eas Gro Mig En Blomst. An LP which was released in a very small \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eedition on Dicksson’s Förlag För Fri Musik label in March of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e2021, causing a sensation of wonder and well-earned praise and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003esome panic due to its scarcity.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGro Mig En Blomst is at once wholly immersive and something \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003equite rare—an infectious collection of essentially experimental \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003emusic derived from familiar organic sounds stitched together \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewith delicate, sometimes improvised music, poetry, and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehaunting folk melodies. Akin to the pastiches composed by the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eequally enchanting Gothenburg collective, Enhet For Fri Musik, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMortensen’s album is mysteriously irresistible despite offering \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewhat most would consider a challenging listen. It immediately \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebecame an essential release and sold through its 300 copies \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003equickly before the ink was even dry on the superlative reviews. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSo, it was with great pride and pleasure that Grapefruit worked \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eclosely with her to offer this new reissue.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHerein one will find songs which often begin with chatter and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eambient sound, with Mortensen seemingly extracting beauty \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003efrom the random and chaotic, splicing in snippets of birdsong \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand rainfall as well as electronic noises. It might be tempting \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eto assume these songs are accidental, wholly improvised, or \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ecaptured moments due to the ephemeral qualities of the music \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand the ease of execution which lure us into the world Mortensen  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehas created.
